Rose Thorns in the Forest

A response to the recent shootings.

New steps into a forest that has depths of its own unknown.

Staggered feelings, emotions, processings and undertakings.

Heaviness. Understanding or lack of. Weight.

Let the alarm inside sound. Get lost in how it isn’t right, frantic by the muscles that tear in response.

A deeper feeling, a tremor, and seeking.

A depth of pain, sinking,
screams that never find their breath..
constricting.

Pulsing realizations and thoughts entangled in fear.
Digging deep in rose thorns and trenches in order to navigate the unnatural.
Ripping apart what has already been broken.

Stealing life, stolen breath.
Countless cost.

The divide between life and death.
Tangible truth. Intangible touch.
